The HCHD employs approximately 20 experienced public health professionals dedicated to promoting the public’s physical and environmental well-being. The Health Department consists of four comprehensive programs: Public Health Clinical Services, Public Health Environmental Services, Community Health Promotion, and Emergency Preparedness. This broad array of services and educational information is accessible and available to all residents. The HCHD strives to promote a healthy and environmentally safe community through prevention, awareness, and education.

We are an enforcement agency responsible for the inspection of various types of businesses from restaurants, food trucks, apartment buildings, hotels to theatres, swimming pools, water wells, and landfills.
Harrison-Clarksburg Health Department has partnered with StateFoodSafety.com to offer ONLINE Food Workers Card Permit Training. Training cost $15.00 for a 1 year, $20.00 for a 2 year and $25.00 for a 3 year printable card(you mustt have a printer available to print your card). You must have a credit card to pay for the training. You also have the option to take the training for a statewide card. Training cost $25.00 for a 1 year, $30.00 for a 2 year and $35.00 for a 3 year printable card. Training is full Audio/Visual and available in English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin and Vietnamese.
