Harrison County Medical Reserve Corps’

The Harrison County MRC, as part of the Citizen Corps and the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), exists to organize and train local volunteers to support their community’s medical response during a large-scale disaster or public health initiatives.

The Harrison County Medical Reserve Corps’ goal is to train a team of volunteers, who, when called upon during a disaster, will support and enhance a local, regional or statewide hospital/disaster response. The MRC will work in conjunction with the Harrison County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), the United Hospital Center, the Harrison County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Center, and the Harrison-Clarksburg Health Department and other groups to supply the necessary personnel to meet local health care needs during any emergencies and public health initiatives
